PATH400
Buckhead’s Scenic Shortcut to Nature, Art and Adventure
PATH400 is a 5.2-mile multiuse trail that runs alongside Georgia 400 through the heart of Buckhead, one of Atlanta’s most vibrant neighborhoods. The trail welcomes walkers, runners and cyclists as it wends through shady woods, colorful public art and lively city streets.

Fun Facts About PATH400
- What once divided Buckhead now connects it. PATH400 reimagines the space alongside Georgia 400, turning a stretch of highway into a vibrant greenway that brings neighborhoods together.
- PATH400 is transforming how people move through the city by linking homes, parks, schools and retail destinations. It’s a car-free corridor that encourages outdoor activity and builds community along the way.
- One of the trail’s newest highlights is a dramatic pedestrian bridge at Mountain Way Common, soaring nearly six stories above the forest floor and offering a unique treetop view of the “City in a Forest.”
- PATH400’s development included thoughtful steps to preserve local wildlife, including a protected bat habitat. (Protecting bat habitats supports natural pest control, healthier ecosystems and a balanced urban environment, all benefits that directly improve human quality of life.) It proves that urban trails can support both people and the planet.
