Most people think of Atlanta’s Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport as being the world’s busiest airport, which it is. Or they may think of it as Delta Air Lines’ headquarters with hundreds of flights leaving daily from here. Also true.
But it is also an incredible shopping mall with more than 150 shops spread across the concourses. Yes, you can get everything from souvenirs to take home to the kids (who doesn’t want an ATL snow globe?), clothes, cosmetics, jewelry, luggage and jerseys from our favorite sports teams. There are even two duty-free shops for international shoppers.
Now, we really aren’t suggesting that you take MARTA down to the airport to do your holiday shopping (Atlanta has some of the country’s best shopping malls and boutiques throughout the city, after all), but what we are suggesting is that while you are between flights, you might want to shop.
Get a book to read on the plane, a piece of luggage for your next trip, aspirin for that headache or even a new pair of shoes because your feet are killing you. If you may have eaten too much on your trip, stop by SPANX, the Atlanta-based company that offers shapewear to help keep everything in place.
Let’s go on a shopping tour of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
Domestic Terminal

You’re meeting a friend and forgot to bring a welcome gift. No problem. There are five shops in the domestic terminal where you can select anything from books to souvenirs to a welcoming snack.
Concourse T

LATHER is a favorite shop on Concourse T near Gate 5, where you can get daily natural skincare and wellness products. Purchase a few bath bombs or salts for when you arrive at your hotel. You can also get facial cleansers, masks, scrubs, moisturizers, shampoo and wellness kits.
Brookstone has two locations on Concourse T, so you can easily shop for backpacks, gadgets, headphones, neck pillows and whatever travel and electronic products — not to mention the iconic massage chairs. By the way, there also are Brookstone shops on Concourses B, C and F. Another store for tech-forward accessories is InMotion Entertainment, which carries brands such as Beats, Bose, GoPro and Apple. It’s also on D, E and has two locations on Concourse F. Z-Market sells everything from baby formula to laptop cables. It’s also on Concourses A, C, D and E (two locations).
B Iconic is a moderately priced women’s and men’s fashion accessories store, which is perfect for a last-minute purchase of earrings, hats, ties, scarves and sunglasses. Also on Concourse T is Patricia Nash, which offers a full collection of women’s and men’s luxurious vintage leather goods.
Concourse A

Simply Books and News Beat ATL are the places for information-hungry passengers. Atlanta.net stocks an evolving selection of high-quality gifts and souvenirs, including Georgia-themed merchandise and merchandise from top attractions such as the High Museum of Art, the Atlanta Braves and Stone Mountain Park.
For those needing a beauty refresh, go to MAC for cosmetics (also on F) and L’Occitane en Provence for body care, face and fragrance products. For the fashionable traveler, get the latest in luggage and travel accessories from Tumi (also on E, F), sunglasses from Sunglass Icon (also on Concourse B) and accessories from Brighton.
Concourse B

Kylie Jenner’s Kylie Cosmetics is one of the concourse’s signature stores where eyelashes, make-up tools and make-up suitable for a Jenner (or a Kardashian) are available; it’s also on Concourse C. Speaking of cosmetics, Kiehl’s, a cult favorite for skincare, hair and body products since 1851 is also on Concourses B and F, while Global Beauty Care carries a variety of beauty products from, for example, The Lip Bar, a Black- and women-owned vegan beauty brand.
Your travels may not take you to Coastal South Carolina, but a few purchases of clothes and accessories from Spartina will make you feel as if you were there.
Those needing something to read are in luck with Southern Living News, Midtown Magazines (also on C, D), Buckhead Books (also on C), Atlanta Daily World (also on C, D), 11 Alive Travel Store, Atlanta Business Chronicle and ATL Shops by Hudson (also on F) are all on the concourse.
Concourse C
Bijoux Terner offers a wide selection of supremely fashionable merchandise that’s also pocketbook-pleasing, which is a win in our book. You can also find it on Course D. Those looking for fashionable shades should check out Orange Optic.
Concourse D

Vera Bradley and Johnston & Murphy are two of the best-known shops on Concourse D. Vera Bradley specializes in colorful items such as clothing and luggage, while Johnston & Murphy is a luxury men’s and women’s shoe shop that also sells bags, leather goods and clothes. Concourse D is full of all things Atlanta (you never can get too much of that, can you?) with All ATL, ATL Market and ATL Today selling snacks and Atlanta souvenirs.
Concourse E

Concourse E is a shopper’s paradise, with well-known brands such as Brooks Brothers, Michael Kors, SPANX, Swarovski and Benefit warmly welcoming shoppers. Brooks Brothers is all about being well-dressed — whether at work or play — while Michael Kors is the shop for luxury products such as purses, sunglasses and watches. San Francisco-based Benefit Cosmetics has two locations on Concourse E, so there’s no excuse to fly without blush, lashes or lipstick.
Atlanta-based SPANX specializes in women’s fashion accessories and women’s apparel, including active wear and shapewear. Those looking to shine should head straight to Swarovski for upscale crystal jewelry and accessories fit for a star, while Pandora is famous for its jewelry and charms.

Since many international flights leave from Concourse E, having something to read is a must. Check out CNN.com, The Wall Street Journal, Heritage Booksellers, Global News and CNBC Smartshop. There is also Duty Free Americas for a little bit of everything — wine, candy, cologne, accessories and handbags (also on F). Also convenient for travelers are The Goods at ATL, which sells a little bit of everything — snacks, baby food, goodies, travel pillows and local honey —and Sound Balance, which offers the latest mobile and tech accessories.
Concourse F
Concourse F has a variety of shops, including CNN International as well as others found on other concourses such as Kiehl’s, MAC and Brookstone.
