Inman Park
Public Spaces and Welcoming Faces
Biking through Inman Park on a warm spring day is a blissfully sensory experience. As you pedal, lush canopies of trees shade you from above. As you meander the streets, you’ll find scores of charming, Victorian-style homes. Everywhere you look, there are plants and flowers; your bike might now be bouncing a little because you’ve just turned down a cobblestone lane. You’ll wave to residents walking dogs, pushing strollers and enjoying the weather.

Established in 1912, Inman Park is Atlanta’s first planned garden suburb, and it is evident that, from the very beginning, great attention was paid to the design of the parks and care for the trees, which are part of the fabric of the neighborhood.
On any given day, you might find locals and tourists alike mingling for brunch at sidewalk cafes, sipping cocktails at lively night spots and browsing clothing racks on display outside of shops.
Or stroll by notable homes like the Beath-Dickey House, pictured on the left. This Queen Anne Victorian home was built in 1890.
Once you find yourself on Highland Avenue, the scene will change from residential to a thriving shopping and dining district, dotted with bakeries, yoga studios, restaurants, boutiques, business centers, lofts and more.

The character of the neighborhood is proudly displayed in the public spaces of Inman Park, including the large mural of the Inman Park butterfly, visible from the Atlanta Beltline’s Eastside Trail.
Every April, mark your calendar for the Inman Park Festival and Tour of Homes, a fun three-day jaunt through the character and personality of this neighborhood.

Restaurants to enjoy

Sotto Sotto Restaurant
The authentic Italian food at Sotto Sotto is one for the books, whether you enjoy your meal inside in the moody atmosphere or on the covered patio. The all-Italian wine list pairs perfectly with whichever dish you choose. Chef Riccardo Ullio was born in Milan, Italy, before moving to Georgia as a teenager. He traveled throughout Italy to study the cuisine there and blessed us with the dishes once he was back in Atlanta.
The Albert
A staple in the community since 2007, this is the spot for a quick bite to eat or a place to hang out with the crew. Try the diner burger with the classic toppings or go for the Western burger with cheddar, bacon, BBQ and an onion ring. No need to stop at a burger because The Albert offers a chicken salad sandwich, brisket melt or the fried fish to enjoy as well. Come for trivia on Wednesday nights where you can pair it with the “Happy Meal Combo” a.k.a a beer and a shot.

Bread & Butterfly

Voted one of New York Times’ 50 Favorite Places in America in 2024, Bread & Butterfly is a charming European-inspired café and bistro by day and a globally inspired culinary odyssey by night. The menu supports local farmers, ensuring the freshest ingredients. Enjoy flavors of the African Diaspora and cultures across the globe from this Black-owned business.
