Atlanta is indisputably the epicenter of college football – not just here in the South but across the nation as well. While we will always show support for our local schools in the form of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets and the Georgia State Panthers, we also know that there are fans of plenty of other schools who happen to reside here in Atlanta.

If you’re a fan of one of those many other schools and you want a chance to get a taste of “home” on upcoming college football Saturdays, then you’re in the right place. We’ve compiled a list of some of Atlanta’s best bars to watch college football, as well as congregate with alumni and fans on game day. Make sure to check in with your school’s Atlanta alumni club just in case of changes for specific games, but these are the usual places for each of the schools listed below.

University of Alabama Crimson Tide

As you can imagine, Crimson Tide alumni and fans have more than one bar to call home here in Atlanta. You can Roll Tide at Hudson Grille in Midtown and Smith’s Olde Bar.

Auburn University Tigers

If you’re looking to shout out “War Eagle” on Saturdays then The Bucket Shop Cafe is the place for you. 

Clemson University Tigers

Big Game Sports Bar is Clemson’s usual game-day bar. 

University of Florida Gators

Louisiana State University Tigers

LSU fans in Atlanta are fortunate enough to have three different locations to call home: The Ivy Buckhead, Big Easy Grille and The Po’Boy Shop in Decatur.

The Ohio State University Buckeyes

Dr. Scofflaw’s brewery is the top spot in Atlanta for ‘noles fans to congregate on Saturdays.

Hooligans Tavern in Roswell is known as the main base of operations on game day for Bulldogs supporters.

University of Georgia Bulldogs

While you’re likely to find a home in nearly any bar in Atlanta if you’re a UGA alumni or fan, the official gathering place for the UGA alumni chapter in Atlanta is Monday Night Brewing – both the Midtown location and The Garage location at Lee + White.

Georgia Southern University Eagles

Rose & Crown Tavern is owned by Georgia Southern alumni, so this has naturally become the perfect home for alumni and fans of the Eagles to come together on game days. 

University of Kentucky Wildcats

Wicked Wolf Atlanta has been designated as the official bar in Atlanta for UK alumni and fans, so there’s your destination for cheering on the Wildcats – during both football and basketball seasons. 

University of Michigan Wolverines

Michigan alumni and fans are currently sitting on top of the college football world, and the view from Fado Irish Pub in Midtown is a nice one. 

Michigan State University Spartans

The Nook on Piedmont Park is the main choice for Spartans fans to hit up on any game day during college football season. With a covered patio and TVs outdoor, try their World Famous Totchos while watching the game.

University of South Carolina Gamecocks

The Atlanta Gamecock Club has designated Whitehall Tavern in Buckhead as the official bar to cheer on the Garnet and Black.

University of Tennessee Volunteers

Lost Dog Tavern in Buckhead has established itself as the main gathering spot for Vols fans and alumni in Atlanta. 

University of Texas Longhorns

If you’re looking to throw the Horns Up with fellow Longhorns supporters, then Red Pepper Taqueria in Dunwoody is where you want to be.
