Atlanta’s biggest contemporary art event is back. The Atlanta Art Fair returns to Pullman Yards Sept. 25–28, bringing together more than 60 galleries from Atlanta, the U.S. and the world.

To help you make the most of the fair, we’ve put together this insider guide.

What is the Atlanta Art Fair?

Think of it as Atlanta’s global art marketplace and cultural hub rolled into one. Organized by Art Market Productions (AMP), the fair debuted in 2024 and immediately made its mark, attracting more than 12,000 visitors. This year promises expanded programming, new exhibitors and installations you won’t want to miss.

What special projects should I look out for?

Guest Curator Melissa Messina is presenting large-scale installations by three standout women abstract artists: Krista Clark and Sonya Yong James (Atlanta), and Vadis Turner (Nashville). Their work pays tribute to Atlanta-born abstract pioneer Mildred Thompson (1936–2003).

Any new features this year?

Yes — this year brings the debut of The Balentine Prize, an award that spotlights an emerging artist from Atlanta or the Greater South. The winning work will become part of Balentine’s corporate collection, offering a career-shaping opportunity for local talent.
