Atlanta’s fine dining scene just leveled up — again.

The city now claims something few destinations in the world can: a Double Five-Star hotel and restaurant under the same roof in the Forbes Travel Guide 2026.

Even more impressive? Atlas is the only Five-Star restaurant in Georgia and one of just three new Five-Star restaurants nationwide this year.

Forbes Travel Guide is one of the world’s most prestigious rating systems for luxury hotels, restaurants, spas and cruise lines. Its anonymous inspectors evaluate properties against hundreds of exacting standards, with Five Stars representing the highest level of excellence.

For Atlanta, this milestone signals something bigger than accolades — it affirms the city’s growing presence on the global luxury stage.

“This is incredibly meaningful,” said Jeremy Kinker, general manager of The St. Regis Atlanta. “After 17 years, achieving a Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Rating is a testament to the level of excellence demonstrated by our hosts every single day. We’ve worked so hard for this and can’t stop celebrating.”

The St. Regis Standard

Located in the heart of Buckhead, The St. Regis Atlanta has long been synonymous with refined Southern luxury. The hotel features 151 elegantly appointed guest rooms and suites, 53 private residences, more than 24,000 square feet of contemporary event space and the iconic 40,000-square-foot Pool Piazza.

But what truly distinguishes the property is its signature St. Regis Butler Service — an attentive yet unobtrusive hallmark of the brand that ensures each stay feels tailored and deeply personal. From the reimagined St. Regis Spa to Astor Court and its polished public spaces, every detail is designed to anticipate the needs of discerning global travelers.

Now, that commitment to excellence has been formally recognized at the highest level.

Inside the hotel, the Atlas restaurant elevates the culinary experience.

Led by Executive Chef Freddy Money, Atlas offers a modern, seasonal approach to fine dining in an elegant, art-filled setting. The restaurant seamlessly blends British culinary tradition with American creativity, presenting tasting menus and à la carte offerings that spotlight in-season ingredients sourced from local Georgia farms.

Service at Atlas is defined by quiet precision and meticulous attention to detail, ensuring each guest feels seen, valued and cared for throughout the experience.

“Awards like this are never the work of one person,” said chef Money. “They reflect the passion and talent of our kitchen, service and support teams, who consistently put the guest experience first. We are thankful to Forbes for the recognition and to our team for their unwavering commitment.”

The Forbes distinction adds to an already impressive résumé. Atlas earned One Star in the inaugural Atlanta edition of the MICHELIN Guide in 2023 and has retained that star for three consecutive years (2023–2025).
