With a robust craft beer scene, it’s no surprise that Atlanta recently landed on USA Today’s Readers’ Choice 10 Best list of Best Beer Cities in the nation. We’ve mapped out our picks of some of the city’s craft beer pioneers and newcomers offering lively outdoor spaces and tours.

Best End Brewing Company

Enjoy bottomless hops at the Best End Brewing Company. This West End brewery boasts a taproom with a full menu and an expansive patio with the Graffiki Tiki Bar overlooking the Westside Atlanta BeltLine Trail.

Blue Moon Beer Garden

Located at Live! at the Battery Atlanta, Blue Moon Beer Garden offers an expansive and beautiful outdoor beer garden on which visitors can indulge in curated daily activations, a coastal inspired menu and live entertainment. Catch the game on one of their TVs or engage in one of the patio games while relaxing with friends.

Bold Monk Brewing Co.

Inspired by Belgium’s monasteries, Bold Monk Brewing Co. offers a taste of Europe and a 2,500-square-foot beer garden with a full menu and live music. Eater Atlanta recently named Bold Monk’s beer garden in the top five for best relaxing patios for dining and drinking.

Elsewhere Brewing Co.

A shaded patio beckons guests to tap into one of Elsewhere Brewing’s core offerings such as Playfield IPA, Dulce de Leche Cake stout or Carouse German pilsner. Seasonal and limited-time beers, a unique menu of Argentinian cuisine, happy hours and special events add to the fun.

Eventide Brewing

Eventide Brewing in Grant Park makes great beer that’s not complicated. Grab a seat on the pup-friendly patio and tap into Citrus Grove hefeweizen, The A IPA or Cosmic Daydream hazy IPA. On Wednesdays enjoy $4 drafts and $8 6-packs. Thursdays bring free trivia in the taproom. Stop by for a pint when you visit the Grant Park Farmers Market on Sundays throughout the summer.

Fire Maker Brewing Company

Ranked the No. 2 new brewery in America by USA Today, Fire Maker Brewing Company has been making a spark on Atlanta’s Westside since opening in 2020. Special events include rotating food trucks, music bingo, plus trivia, beer yoga and the occasional pop-up. Join the Dragon Keepers Club for monthly meetups and annual benefits.

Halfway Crooks Beer

Halfway Crooks Beer invites guests to catch some rays and toss back some brews on its rooftop and a dog-friendly patio that it shares with Big Softie and Little Tart. Located in the Summerhill neighborhood, just 10 minutes from the airport and all major attractions, Halfway Crooks boasts a full food menu and beers such as Ada unfiltered German pilsner and Seconds foeder-aged saison.

High Card Brewing & Blue Tarp Brewing

Known as “The Best Little Brewhouses in Tucker,” High Card Brewing and Blue Tarp Brewing offer a spacious patio for connecting with friends, creative beers and lots of good times. Open Wednesday through Sunday with nearly daily events that include pilates & pints, music bingo, beer yoga, artists market, and comedy shows. To-go beers available for pickup.

Hippin Hops Brewery 

Georgia’s first Black-owned brewery is located in East Atlanta. Try fan favorites, So Peachy and Baby Momma Drama, while enjoying a little vitamin D in the outdoor beer garden. Open Wednesday through Sunday.

Monday Night Brewing

Head to Monday Night Brewing in West Midtown and experience a rotating series of brewery-only IPAs made with premium ingredients at the Hop Hut or relax with friends on the expansive patio that’s open late on weekends. Well-behaved and leashed dogs are welcome on the outdoors patio. To-go beers available.

Monday Night Garage

The Garage is a barrel-aging and souring brewery along the Atlanta BeltLine that houses 3 aging rooms, a cool ship, and onsite orchard and garden. Host private events or visit during community events like trivia and happy hour.

New Realm Brewing Company

Explore this hop-filled brewing destination in the Old Fourth Ward. New Realm Brewing Company offers plenty of outdoor seating on the patio, rooftop and in the beer garden for sipping on Hazy Like a Fox IPA or Hoptropolis IPA.

Scofflaw Brewing Co.

Scofflaw Brewing Co. lures beer fans to its taproom and expansive outdoor seating area in the Westside. Their 18,000 square foot facility hosts a rotation of brews, seltzers and special releases from 12 to 9 p.m. daily and often hosts  food trucks and special events.

Second Self Beer Co.

Find flavorful brews at Second Self Beer Co. in West Midtown. Pair favorites such as Thai Wheat or Game Night IPA and hard seltzers with a variety of games. Make plans for Game Night Thursday with $10 pitchers, $3 pints on Fridays. Kids and dogs are welcome.

STATS Brewpub

Score a seat on the rooftop patio at downtown Atlanta’s ultimate sports bar. STATS Brewpub offers a menu of elevated bar food, a selection of home-brewed beers and craft cocktails from its onsite brewery and personal beer taps on select tables.

Steady Hand Beer Co.

Shake things up with a visit to Steady Hand Beer Co. boasting 24 taps, games, food trucks and live music in the taproom. This Westside brewery’s beer offerings include a variety of classic and seasonal selections such as Cloudland hazy IPA, Imperial Coffee stout and Farmhouse ale.

Sweetwater Brewing Company

Never one to float the mainstream, SweetWater Brewing Company features an expansive taproom that offers 24 beers on tap, a full menu, tours and a pet-friendly patio. Sweetwater hosts trivia every Wednesday night and live music on occasion. Stop in for a H.A.Z.Y. IPA, a seasonal brew, such as their Almond Milk Stout , one of their hard seltzers or vodka sodas.

Three Taverns Craft Brewery (Decatur)

With the slogan “Surpass the Ordinary,” Three Taverns Craft Brewery delves into its craft at two locations – The Parlour, in Decatur, and The Imaginarium, dedicated to experimental beers in the Atlanta Dairies complex. Both locations offer patio seating for savoring one ( or two of their wide variety of brews including A Night on Ponce IPA, Rapturous Raspberry sour ale, Coffee Milks Stouts or their new Monastic beers. 

Tucker Brewing Company

With the fourth-best beer garden in America according to USA Today, family-owned Tucker Brewing Company is the only Georgia brewery dedicated to making easy-to-drink Germany-style lagers. Spread out on the brewery’s 8,500-square-foot, family-friendly beer garden to enjoy delicious German inspired dishes, paired with easy drinking brews. Tucker Brewing hosts cornhole, trivia and live music throughout the year.

Wild Heaven West End Brewery & Gardens

Wild Heaven offers two locations to enjoy their traditional European brews infused with southern flair. Both locations offer a variety of brews while West End also offers snacks in a park-like setting. Check their events calendar for a variety of pop-ups, live music, specials and more.

Wild Leap Atlanta

Housed in a 15,000+ sq. ft space just steps from Mercedes-Benz Stadium and State Farm Arena. The family and pet (outside) friendly beer hall offers multiple levels of space for socializing, game watching and a variety of beverages from their line up of craft brews, spirits and cocktails.
