Mark your calendar – in ink – because you won’t want to miss these events at ASAE’s 2023 Annual Meeting & Expo. The schedule is full of exciting experiences with amazing people at only in Atlanta venues. These evening celebrations will help you discover what makes these Atlanta venues so special.

Opening Celebration

Saturday, August 5

Young or old, we all love to play – and that means something unique for each of us. In ATL, every way to play has an experience to fulfill that curiosity or passion. For our opening celebration, we invite you to the iconic Mercedes-Benz Stadium where we will fuse spectacular live music, incredible cuisine, and dynamic activations with the energy of Atlanta’s ever-evolving entertainment scene and one-of-a-kind vibe. Come out to pl ĀTL!  

Be whisked away from the moment you arrive at the world-class Mercedes-Benz Stadium – the party will start outside and immediately put you in the play mindset. The stunning field will be brimming with ways to inspire play. From soccer darts and a climbing wall to a basketball shoot-out zone, inflatable games and sports diversions will bring out the competitive kid in everyone. 

In the club space, you will find an arcade to take you back to your childhood with retro games galore. After a little Pac-Man, pack around the piano and be ready to rock out with Dueling Pianos. Capture every moment for “the gram” or for the memories at various photo activations throughout the stadium. 

As the sun sets and the party energy rises, get ready to chase some waterfalls as we welcome ‘90s Pop icons TLC to the main stage to take us all back to our glory days!

The Classic

Monday, August 7

Welcome to The Classic at Georgia Aquarium!  A culinary showcase curated by Wolfgang Puck Catering with the largest Aquarium in the Western Hemisphere as the backdrop. Marvel at tens of thousands of animals including whale sharks, manta rays, beluga whales, African penguins, bottlenose dolphins, puffins and many more. There’s always something new to discover in Georgia Aquarium’s eight vibrant galleries, and don’t miss the incredible inhabitants of our newest gallery, Sharks! Predators of the Deep.    

Guests will enjoy a selection of signature items from the Wolfgang Puck Catering team including classics from the company’s 25 years in business. The secret recipe for legendary experiences: the Wolfgang Puck Catering team delivers creative seasonal cuisine and gracious, personalized hospitality at Georgia Aquarium. 

Your showcased entertainment will be The Yacht Rock Schooner. They throw the smoothest dance party on the high seas, taking you and your guests on a journey to a time when good-times music had heart and musical integrity. The 8-man Schooner specializes in the smooth sounds of the late ’70s and early ’80s. It’s a party that spans generations, and the band is comprised of some of Atlanta’s top players with a dual keyboard setup, multiple ace vocalists, and (of course) a saxman.

Closing Celebration

Tuesday, August 8

Join us as we Rock the Block in Atlanta’s Centennial Park District, just steps away from Centennial Olympic Park. You will be able to enjoy exclusive access to Legacy Venture’s Restaurant Row as each restaurant transports you to a different decade! 

Come mix and mingle with the flappers from the ‘20s at Max’s Coal Oven Pizzeria, enjoy Waffle House’s ‘50s diner, check out Johnny Cash and June Carter from the ‘60s at Twin Smokers BBQ, and show off your best 70s dance moves at Der Biergarten’s disco. You may even run into your favorite 80s icons at STATS Brewpub! Not to mention the street will be jamming with Atlanta’s own Party Nation band performing top hits from the 2000s! 

No matter which decade has your heart, you will be immersed in an evening of entertainment and cuisine while traveling through the many decades of ASAE’s rich history from the ’20s all the way through Y2K!”
