Summerhill

Summerhill is one of Atlanta’s oldest neighborhoods. Walk along the main road, Georgia Avenue, where you’ll find new places to eat, grab a drink or hang out at along the way.
Center Parc Stadium is in the area and is where the Georgia State Panthers play football. Fun fact: This stadium is the former baseball diamond where the Atlanta Braves played.

- Location: Approximately 2 miles from Centennial Olympic Park in Downtown
- Getting there: Located in South Atlanta, Summerhill is easily accessible by hopping off from I-20 or I-75 S/I-85 S, depending on which direction you’re coming from. If you do drive, there is some free street parking available, and also paid parking lots. Rideshare is also a convenient way to get to the area.

Wood’s Chapel BBQ

Wood’s Chapel BBQ has been voted the best barbecue in Atlanta. From pulled pork to chopped brisket, smoked meats and Southern style-dishes are featured. Pair your meal with a side of pork beans and burnt ends or mac and cheese. On a nice day, sit on the patio.
BOCA
This authentic Mexican restaurant serves tacos and guacamole, which you can pair with a margarita or specialty cocktail. Tuesdays bring taco deals with a variety of options including chicken, ribeye and chorizo. Enjoy your meal on the patio.

Little Bear

This MICHELIN Bib Gourmand restaurant has a constantly changing menu, showcasing fresh, seasonal dishes.
Psito
With the motto, “Good Greek for Happy People,” Psito puts out the welcome mat. The pita sandwiches are made with freshly baked pita and your choice of meat or veggies. Enjoy classics like hummus and Greek salad, or treat yourself with Yaya’s Greek chicken, a slow- roasted whole chicken infused with garlic and a blend of fresh herbs. You’ll leave here full and ready to bring the good vibes with you.

Talat Market

International flavors shine at Talat Market. James Beard-nominated chefs Parnass Savang and Rod Lassiter use Southern ingredients and Thai cooking techniques to create one-of-a-kind dishes. With a menu that changes daily, you can feast on crispy rice salad with rotating seasonal veggies purchased from nearby farms or beef skewers made with locally sourced meat. There’s always something new to try here.
Southern National
Dinner and brunch menus at Southern National focus on elevated dishes in an inviting atmosphere, whether you dine alone or with a group of friends. For dinner, start with the grilled pork and shishito skewers. Try one of the main plates, like the mushroom tortelloni, “trout nutter-dean” or lamb burger helper. Coming for brunch? A few must-trys are seafood and grits, hangover bowl and the original “Dirty South.”

How Crispy

Fried chicken lovers can get their fix at How Crispy. The classic sandwich includes an herby spread, sweet pickles, crispy lettuce and a good bun. The lemon pepper wet sandwich brings buffalo, lemon pepper, super ranch, shrettuce (finely shredded lettuce), sweet pickles and a good bun. The restaurant was featured in Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives so you know these are bold flavors. While there is some seating inside, the patio is where it’s at.

Experience the moody vibes at the underground Redacted Basement Drink Parlour. The most popular cocktail is the Judy Tuesday’s, made from mezcal, lime, agave, luxardo maraschino, pineapple and blood orange. But it’s hard to pass up the drink with Froot Loops.
Halfway Crooks Beer

Pilsners, lagers and stouts, oh my! This full-service brewpub is made for beer lovers. While the vibes inside are great, you can’t beat hanging out on the patio in the beer garden.

Center Parc Stadium
Cheer on the Georgia State Panthers football team at Center Parc Stadium. If you’re heading to a game, there are designating parking spaces and tailgate spots. Heads up, the stadium does have a clear bag policy.

Hero Doughnuts & Buns
This is a choice for elevated doughnuts that will make it hard to choose. From classics like the OG vanilla and chocolate to options like the apple fritter and the Boston creme, the menu is inspired by what the owner, Will Drake, ate as a child.

Big Softie

On a hot summer day, you can’t go wrong with some soft serve ice cream that’s made with local, organic dairy and organic cane sugar. Big Softie also makes the toppings and waffle cones in-house, making this shop a staple in Atlanta for more than six years. There are plenty of vegans flavors available as well.
The Little Tart Bakeshop

While there are three Little Tart Bakeshop locations throughout Atlanta, the one in Summerhill is the newest. With freshly baked pastries and coffee, this is a great morning pick-me-up shop. Little Tart works with local farmers, jam makers, beekeepers, cheese makers and butchers to bring the freshest ingredients possible.
