It starts with “B” and rhymes with lunch. We know it as brunch, and Atlanta’s Buckhead neighborhood offers several choices of restaurants that serve that magical meal that’s not quite breakfast and not quite lunch, but which is a perfect weekend treat.
5Church Buckhead

Enjoy brunch at 5Church Buckhead on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m. and on Sunday from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. Perhaps start with sushi tots or baked oysters. Then, move on, maybe, to biscuits and gravy or quiche Lorraine. Oh my, there’s also banana French toast and a French omelet. Have a mimosa while you decide.

Carmel
Weekend brunch at Carmel, located in Buckhead Village, begins with a brioche doughnut or a fruit parfait. Next comes a Bibb salad or grilled shrimp then it’s on to the main course where a few choices include a crispy fish sandwich, shrimp and grits, a smash burger or a whole lobster. Maybe try the seared milk cake for dessert.

Chido + Padre’s

Weekends at this Irish pub are all about brunch (Saturday and Sunday until 3 p.m.) and bottomless mimosas. On Sundays until 2:45 p.m., Le Bilboquet serves brunch. Located in the center of Buckhead Village, the French bistro brings a slice of Parisian café culture to the neighborhood — and to you.
