Atlanta Pride Festival and LGBTQ Events

Plan your trip around Atlanta’s Pride Festival and Parade, occurring in October. It is one of the oldest and biggest celebrations in the nation, drawing thousands of visitors. In addition to the Pride Festival, LGBTQ+ events such as Black Gay Pride, Out on Film and other annual events are not to be missed.
Midtown

Every October, Atlanta Pride takes over Piedmont Park in Midtown. The festival started in 1970 and continues to grow with more than 300,000 attendees.
If you’re here any other time of the year, Piedmont Park is a hot spot for exercise, enjoying the outdoors and attending the plethora of festivals that happen here.
A few blocks away from Piedmont Park, at the corner of 10th St. and Piedmont Ave., is the Rainbow Crosswalk. It became a permanent attraction in 2017 and the Atlanta Pride Parade route passes over the crosswalk.

There are plenty of gay bars in the area like Bulldogs and X Midtown, and Blake’s On The Park is steps away from the crosswalk.
Ansley Square

Across the street from Piedmont Park is the ultimate spot for gay bar hopping. Ansley Square is home to the Atlanta Eagle, Felix’s, Oscar’s Bar and Mixx Atlanta.
