Start off your day with coffee and pastry in hand at THE CHASTAIN, a New American bistro offering morning delights right across the street from Chastain Memorial Park. Secure a seat around the firepit and take in the morning with a cup of BRASH Coffee, an Atlanta-based specialty roaster. Add a carefully crafted baked good by one of Atlanta’s iconic pastry chefs, Christian Castillo. Using local quality ingredients, and inspired by chef Castillos’s travels, the face-size chocolate chip cookies, the croissants and the brioche buns are worth every calorie. The menu is always evolving, so be ready to be surprised with seasonal offerings. If you are looking for something more on the savory side, don’t pass on the unforgettable egg, bacon and cheese biscuit. It’s one of a kind.

Walk the Park

Cross the street and join Buckhead locals on a walk or jog around Chastain Memorial Park. With a distance just short of three miles, the jogging path will take you all around a portion of Atlanta’s largest park, crossing through the golf course, tennis courts and lots of greenery. You will forget you are in the city. Chastain Memorial Park is also home to a state-of-the-art playground, a swimming pool, an amphitheater and a horse park. This is a perfect place to catch the change of seasons at the City in the Forest.

Atlanta History Center

With so much more to explore in Buckhead, head over to the Atlanta History Center. Here you will find 33 acres full of history. From historic houses to gardens and award-winning exhibitions, this place is magical. Learn at The Battle of Atlanta Cyclorama, explore the Goizueta Gardens and get ready to get your breath taken away by the Swan House, which you might recognize from “The Hunger Games”. After all that walking around, you have most likely worked up an appetite. Without going too far, head over to Souper Jenny’s which is located at the Atlanta History Center. This Atlanta-only cozy neighborhood cafe offers delightful soups and sandwiches sure to fuel you up. Don’t shy away if there is a line. Strike up a conversation with regulars and visitors and get recommendations as you make your lunch choices. The menu changes regularly, and you have the opportunity to mix up a sandwich with a soup so you get to try the best of both worlds.

Afternoon Pick Me Up at BRASH

If you need a little pick me up after lunch, grab your second cup of joe next door. BRASH Coffee has one of its coffee shops right there with plenty of sitting space and a view of Buckhead over Veterans Park. If you want to explore, go for the refreshing San Luis Flash Brew, which is their take on an iced-coffee-meets-cold-brew, or a cup of matcha. Whether you like your coffee black or with cream, you will be able to taste the quality of the beans and the love put into the process from the farm to your cup.

Shopping at Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza

Let the shopping fun begin. Head over to Lenox Square, the third-largest mall in Georgia. With nearly 200 tenants, this is a shopping destination for fashionistas throughout the Southeast. Check out the latest trends at stores like Zara, Macy’s, Neiman Marcus, Fabletics, Tiffany & Co., Louis Vuitton, Marc Jacobs, Burberry and many more.

Upscale Food Hall Coming Soon

Phipps Plaza offers dining options. Davio’s is a white-tablecloth Italian restaurant with delicious offerings. Alon’s Bakery & Market features sandwiches with freshly baked bread. And, coming soon, Citizens Market will be another great reason to visit Phipps Plaza. The food hall will bring together leading world chefs to develop a unique set of culinary brands and menu items that elevate fast casual dining. Play at Sloomoo Institute

Let’s have some fun before dinner. Whether you are 5 or 50 years old, Sloomoo Institute is a fun experience where you immerse yourself in the mesmerizing world of slime. There are tremendous benefits to playing with the slime of all different colors and textures. At Sloomoo, all your senses will be activated with bright colors, gratifying sounds, and even fun scents. Dive into the slime and experience the joy of play. Don’t wear your best clothes for this experience, just in case you do choose the option of getting bathed by slime. However, do wear your biggest smile. At the end of the experience, you will go home with your own personalized slime.

Dinner at Buckhead Village District

Buckhead Village District has so many restaurant options.

Buckhead has an interminable list of restaurants. Some of those live in the Buckhead Village District. Walk the beautiful stoned streets while deciding on a dining option. In the midst of it all is Le Bilboquet, where you are sure to have a celebrity sighting. Just above is the stunning Le Colonial where you can feast on a French Vietnamese menu. One of the newest additions in the block is Yeppa & Co, an Italian restaurant focusing on dishes from the coast along the Adriatic Sea. For another unique experience, head to Lucian Books and Wine where you can eat thoughtful food, read beautiful books and drink smart wines.

Game Time at The Painted Pin

Don’t let the fun stop there. The Painted Pin is sure to provide more entertainment for the day. The upscale boutique bowling alley is a great way to spend the evening in Buckhead. Bowling shoes and craft cocktails are available, ensuring you will have everything you need for a good time. The music is loud, but the laughter is even louder. This adult-only entertainment venue used to be a warehouse, but the beautiful decor has brought it to life. If bowling is just not your thing, bocce, Ping-Pong and Skee-Ball are also options to get your game on.

Dance Into the Night at Johnny’s

The night is not over yet. A legendary night in Buckhead ends at Johnny’s Hideaway, a popular bar where dancing is not optional. The storied retro nightclub serves up your favorite hits from the ‘50s to today’s tunes. The decor is a nod to Sinatra and Elvis, and the crowd is diverse, friendly and ready to dance.
