Whether you’re looking to enhance your wardrobe or indulge in the city’s rich dining scene, you can choose your own path with the endless options along each trail. Black culture in Atlanta is on full display every day, and the Atlanta Beltline is one of many ways to explore it.

Eastside Trail

3 Parks Wine – Old Fourth Ward

This newer location of 3 Parks Wine offers weekly wine tastings and events right along the bustling Eastside trail. With plenty of seating outside, this is the perfect spot to enjoy a glass of wine while people-watching. Owner, Sarah Pierre hand-selects all of the wines and assists in pairings, giving each event a specially curated touch.

Shop from a marketplace of local Black-owned vendors featuring products like clothing, candles and gifts. at The Village Retail. From trendy ATL gear to high-quality accessories, there’s something for everyone. Be sure to snap a picture in front of the “Support is a Verb” grass wall while shopping. There’s also an opportunity to become a vendor if you’re looking to build your brand.

Souk Bō’hēmian + Nō•mad

Find Bohemian-inspired fashion, unique home decor, fragrance and more at both of these connected boutiques on the second floor of Ponce City Market. Founder and curator Vanessa Coore Vernon aims to bring global inspiration to shoppers’ everyday lives while also connecting with artisans to bring ready-to-wear pieces and accessories to their wardrobes.

LaRayia’s Bodega

This Boricua-owned natural vegan cafe brings fresh salads, juices, smoothies and more to Atlanta. With a menu filled with items named after culture icons and a selection of clothing and accessories, this bodega-inspired shop adds a touch of culture and wellness to the first floor of Ponce City Market. Try a matcha drink or a classic acai bowl.

Westside Trail

Chattahoochee Food Works

Close to the Westside Trail, you’ll find this popular food hall filled with a wide range of options, including several Black-owned hot spots. There’s no Atlanta without soul food, and Delilah’s Everyday Soul has some of the best mac and cheese. Stop by What The Fry for a variety of ways to enjoy French fries and additional dishes like salmon bites and wings. Philly G Steaks brings a taste of Philly to the A with fast casual cheese steaks and other sandwiches, and be sure to get mango water ice to go with your meal. Looking for some BBQ? Check out Doug’s North Carolina BBQ for finger-licking comfort food and some of the best BBQ sauce in Atlanta. Round out your food hall visit with a cookie or two at Munster Cravings, which recently went viral for its creme brulee cookies. It will be difficult to choose just one, so take our advice and try them all.

Southwest Trail

Black Coffee ATL

Go for the coffee and stay for the culture. Enjoy menu items with names inspired by Atlanta and Black culture, such as Dear Mama Latte and the Bodega Sammich. With plenty of indoor seating, you can enjoy the Black artwork that decorates the walls or get some sun while sitting outside before walking the Southwest Beltline.

African Diaspora Art Museum of Atlanta (ADAMA)

In the historic Pittsburgh neighborhood, experience art and culture from the African diaspora. Celebrating different cultural narratives through art, technology and heritage, this museum is known for redefining cultural engagement through community-focused events and initiatives. Visit rotating exhibits or attend an event.

Westside Creamery: The Sweet Spot

Located in the heart of Glenwood Park, this cozy sweet spot offers delicious cake, ice cream, cookies and other treats. Try the Perfect Pair that includes a slice of homemade pound cake and your choice of ice cream or sorbet.

3 Parks Wine Glenwood Park

After spending several years working in notable Atlanta restaurants, the owner brought her love of wine into each of her shops and to each event hosted at the shops. Stop by the Glenwood Park location and grab a glass or bottle while journeying along the Southeast Beltline Trail. Her other shop on the Eastside Trail is listed at the top of this post.
