With live match screenings and immersive art experiences to local vendors, music and creative activations, the historic Downtown destination is hosting a season of free events designed to showcase Atlanta’s culture, energy and creativity during FIFA World Cup 2026™.
If you’re looking for a lively place to catch a match, explore Downtown after dark or experience a different side of the city, here’s your ultimate guide to summer at Underground Atlanta.
Enter the Underground
Few places tell Atlanta’s story quite like Underground Atlanta.

What visitors see today sits above portions of the city’s original street level, where storefronts, rail lines and businesses helped shape Atlanta’s early development. Over the decades, the district has evolved from a commercial center into a destination for entertainment, events and cultural experiences.
This summer, Underground Atlanta enters its next chapter, transforming into a hub for art, soccer and community in the heart of Downtown.
Match Days, Downtown Style

Running June 12 through July 19, the free event series will screen 35 matches throughout the tournament, transforming the historic Downtown destination into one of the city’s most dynamic places to catch the action.
Set against the backdrop of Atlanta’s original commercial district, Watch Party ATL offers a different way to experience the tournament. Instead of navigating stadium crowds, visitors can settle into the heart of Downtown, grab food and drinks from nearby businesses and immerse themselves in the atmosphere of match day.
If you’re looking for a lively place to experience the excitement surrounding FIFA World Cup 2026™, Watch Party ATL offers a front-row seat to the energy that will sweep through Atlanta all summer long.
Art. Sound. Summer Nights.
On Friday evenings, the focus shifts from the pitch to the city’s creative community.

Held June 12 through July 10, 5 Points Fridays transforms Underground Atlanta into a multi-sensory celebration of local culture featuring live entertainment, public art, immersive activations and a creative marketplace. Produced in partnership with the city of Atlanta and the Mayor’s Office of Cultural Affairs, the free weekly event highlights the artists, performers and entrepreneurs helping shape Atlanta today.
Expect artwork curated by George F. Baker III, live entertainment, local vendors and interactive experiences designed to encourage exploration throughout the district. Visitors can browse the marketplace, discover new artists and enjoy a summer evening surrounded by the sights and sounds of Downtown Atlanta.
The experience feels part art walk, part block party and part cultural showcase, with something new to discover each week.
Kick It at The 5 Points Cup

Think of it as Atlanta’s street soccer championship. Held June 13 and 14 at Underground Atlanta, The 5 Points Cup brings together 16 teams for two days of fast-paced matches, highlight-reel skills and neighborhood bragging rights, all with a $10,000 grand prize on the line. Best of all, it’s free to watch. Swing by between matches, grab a bite or a drink and soak up the grassroots soccer energy that’s helping fuel Atlanta’s World Cup summer.
