March Madness 2025 Comes to Atlanta

NCAA men’s basketball’s March Madness descends on Atlanta this year when the South Regionals come to State Farm Arena March 28 and 30, with Georgia Tech hosting.

The NCAA’s March Madness tournament begins with selection Sunday on March 16, when the NCAA announces the 68 teams that make the tournament. Teams will be eliminated at venues across the country as the tournament winds down to the Sweet 16, the Elite Eight, the Final Four and, ultimately, the National Championship. There will be two Sweet 16 games on March 28 and one Elite Eight game on March 30, all at State Farm Arena, home of the NBA’s Atlanta Hawks. As Atlanta’s host for the games, Georgia Tech will coordinate with State Farm Arena staff on everything from game management to media operations and assist in coordinating lodging and ground transportation for the competing teams.

March Madness Schedule

• Selection Sunday: 6 p.m. ET, March 16 on CBS
• First Four: March 18-19
• First round: March 20-21
• Second round: March 22-23
• Sweet 16: March 27-28
• Elite Eight: March 29-30
• Final Four: April 5 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas
• NCAA championship game: April 7 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas

HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern

HOBNOB Neighborhood Tavern is preparing for March Madness with specials on everything from brews to fries. On Selection Sunday, March 16, HOBNOB will offer $6 draft beer selections. During the Sweet 16 games, fans can get Wagyu burgers and fries for $16. The Final Four brings $4 house lager drafts along with $16 all-you-can-eat nachos for four and $16 Bud Light or Michelob Ultra pitchers.

Looking Ahead

Mark your calendar for April 5-7, 2031. That is when the March Madness Final Four will play at Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
