The holiday season in Atlanta is like no other. Whether you’re searching for magic in Midtown, decked-out bars Downtown, bright lights in Buckhead or holiday cheer beyond; there are so many happenings to bring in the season. Atlanta’s unique holiday pop-up bar scene attracts many from far and wide. Find festive places that make it easy to bring in the heartwarming season in a holly and jolly way. Check out the list below for a guide to some of the best pop-up bars in town this season.

The Blind Elf

Blind Pig Parlour brings all the merry to Buckhead with its trendy pop-up, The Blind Elf. The popular speakeasy bar has temporarily transformed into a holiday getaway with holiday-themed decor, libations and bites to match. The Blind Elf is the perfect holiday pop-up to get you in the spirit with special themed sips, both warm and cold, twinkling lights and savory bites. Try the Festivus cocktail for a warm mulled wine made with a secret recipe to go with delicious pigs in a blanket.

Blitzen Room at Biltong Bar

Starting Nov. 22, you can get cozy in the center of Ponce City Market’s food hall with a drink from the Blitzen Room at Biltong Bar. This intimate bar is “up to snow good” with seasonally themed cocktails that go hand-in-hand with the vintage Christmas decor and beef jerky. Fill up on all your nostalgic Christmas memories before heading up for fun at Holidays on the Roof.

Holidays on the Roof

Celebrate the holidays with beautiful views. The Roof at Ponce City Market has everything you need for a night of holiday cheer. Stop by Holiday Social Bar on The Roof, opening Nov. 25, just inside the tower lobby, for an over-the-top experience with holiday drinks and decor. MixMas at 12 Cocktail Bar, opening Nov. 25, celebrates the festive season with delicious drinks including the returning favorite “Sleigh Fuel.” Once you’ve satisfied your thirst for the holidays you can cozy up at Igloos on The Roof, opening Nov. 26, after skating in the adjacent rooftop rink. 9 Mile Station will also transform into a woodland forest with more igloos that overlook the skyline. Wonderland at Willow Bar

This natural wine bar in the heart of Buckhead unlocks a world of wonder at the holiday pop-up, Wonderland. Get cozy in one of the winter-themed igloos or snuggle up by the warm firepits with a drink in hand. It’s the perfect location for a hot toddy and delicious bites to welcome in the holiday season.

Miracle Bar ATL

There’s a miracle on Monroe! Embark on a Christmas-themed night out with festive music, spirited surroundings and Christmas-inspired cocktails. Try out the ‘Yippee Ki Yay Mother F****r’ cocktail for a taste as exciting as the name or the Mulled Wine if you’re in need of something warm. The drinks go great with Tinseltown Tacos or Frosty Fries.

Third Door – Church Street Vacation

Fill up on Christmas cheer with a Church Street Vacation. This Christmas-themed pop-up at Third Door brings in seasonal fun with an all-decked-out patio and bar. Grab some friends, ugly Christmas sweaters and holiday spirit to enjoy the fun-themed drinks and bites while taking in a cheerful atmosphere.

North Pole at Colony Square

Midtown turns magical with this spirited holiday pop-up. The Grove Terrace at Colony Square undergoes an outstanding transformation into The North Pole during the holiday season. This winter wonderland is complete with a large festive igloo that overlooks The Grove where guests can enjoy cocktails under holiday lights Wednesdays through Saturdays, Nov.16 – Dec. 23 from 5 to 11 p.m.

The Select Restaurant + Bar

Launching after Thanksgiving, this Sandy Springs gem is unlocking all the holiday cheer with show-stopping decor and sensational bites and beverages. Whether you make yourself comfortable inside the spacious restaurant and bar or take a seat by the outside firepits; the season’s scenery and homey environs will make you want to stay.

Best End – Mingle & Jingle

Miles of sparkling tinsel garland lead to the West End’s first (and Best) Christmas Bar at Best End Brewing. This popular hangout offers its Christmas installment, Mingle & Jingle, Nov. 25 – Dec. 31. The space shines with one-of-a-kind holiday decor from the many local vintage and thrift shops. Guests can enjoy Christmas cocktails among Instagram-worthy decor including the signature Bow Wall.

Park 82

Every Monday after Thanksgiving, all roads lead to Park 82’s Christmas pop-up bar. This upscale restaurant will ring in the holiday season with themed decor and a menu to match. First-class service meets festive surroundings making for a wonderful night of holiday cheer.

Jingle Bar at Tre Vele

Keeping all things merry and bright this holiday season, Tre Vele brings Jingle Bar back to Sandy Springs. The rooftop patio will spread all the joy with its transformation into a holiday wonderland. Tinsel Tavern – Live at The Battery

You can’t visit The Battery this season without stopping by Tinsel Tavern. From Dec. 1 to Dec. 24, Live! at the Battery becomes all decked out in tinsel and twinkling lights to create a whimsical experience. This entertainment destination will be home to holiday-inspired cocktails and small bites in a space filled with jollification to create unforgettable moments.
