Atlanta Falcons

Bijan Robinson and the Atlanta Falcons are currently giving it their all in the NFL as they look to stay competitive and potentially bring playoff football to the world-class Mercedes-Benz Stadium. The Falcons will only have one game at home this month, but it’s a big one. Patrick Mahomes, Jason Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs will be visiting on Nov. 15 at 1 p.m. Still, a handful of watch parties are designed to link up with other Falcons fans to watch the action while they’re on the road. On Nov. 1 at 1 p.m., watch the Falcons visit the Buccaneers. Make sure you show up bright and early by 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 8 at the COSM (which is in the shadow of the stadium itself) as the Falcons travel to Madrid to take on the Bengals. Finally, cap off Thanksgiving Weekend on Nov. 29 by watching Atlanta face the Minnesota Vikings. It is an away game, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants in town to watch it.

Atlanta Hawks

The NBA is officially underway, and now it’s time to see how Jalen Johnson and the Atlanta Hawks fare against the rest of the talented squads that the NBA has to offer. The first home game of November is a big one, as former Hawks star Trae Young will be returning as part of the Washington Wizards for an NBA Cup game on Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. That’ll be the first of three home games in four days, as the Brooklyn Nets will be coming in on Nov. 7 at 7:30 p.m. (with a Divine 9 ticket offer available) and the Los Angeles Lakers will visit on Nov. 9 at 7 p.m. Another Cup Game night will take place on Nov. 20 as the Hawks face the Hornets, and then the final home game of November will be a Sunday afternoon game on Nov. 22 as the Hawks celebrate Kids’ Day with a game against the Pistons. State Farm Arena has one of the best in-arena experiences that any basketball fan could ask for, so if you like basketball, then this is the destination for you.

Atlanta United FC

It’s been a long season for Miguel Almiron and the Five Stripes, but it’ll all be coming down to the home season finale on Nov. 1 at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Atlanta’s matchup against Toronto FC at 4:30 p.m. will be the last chance you get to enjoy the beautiful game during what’s been a very eventful year for soccer in Atlanta. Similarly to the Falcons, if you want to watch the overall season finale for the Five Stripes with other futbol fanatics, then you’ll want to be at El Tesoro in South Downtown on Nov. 7. The watch party will start at 3 p.m. for the 4 p.m. start in New York as Atlanta United faces the Red Bulls. Again, the season is winding down, so this is the best chance you’ll have to get rowdy with the rest of the 17s fan groups until next season.

Rahkeem Smith and Braylon Outlaw will be leading the way for the Yellow Jackets as they continue to make their way through the ACC schedule at historic Bobby Dodd Stadium. The Ramblin’ Wreck will have two huge games as their season winds down and heads into bowl season. Military Appreciation Day will be on Nov. 7 as the Jackets host the Louisville Cardinals, while their home finale (and Senior Day) will be on Nov. 21 as Tech takes on Wake Forest. If you’re willing to make the trip, the annual rivalry game between Georgia Tech and the Georgia Bulldogs will be on UGA’s campus in Athens on Nov. 28.

Meanwhile, Atlanta’s Sun Belt representatives will also be in action, and the Panthers will have some important games as well. The annual rivalry game against Georgia Southern will be held on Nov. 14 at Center Parc Credit Union Stadium this year, as Georgia State will also be celebrating “Red, White, and Light It Blue” Day and Heroes Day at the same time. The home (and season) finale will be on Nov. 28 as the Panthers will look to end their season on a winning note against the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns on Give Back/Senior Day. If you’re looking for an affordable way to check out some big-time college football, then the Panthers would love to see you downtown so you can watch all the action.

Georgia Tech Basketball

The road to March Madness is officially underway, and both the men’s and women’s teams for the Yellow Jackets will be very busy at McCamish Pavilion on campus this month. There will be 14 home games between the two teams – 8 for the men and 6 for the women. Nov. 2 will see the women’s team take on Hofstra in their season opener at 10:30 a.m. The next day, Nasir Whitlock and the rest of the men’s team have their home opener on Nov. 3 at 7 p.m. against the Hampton Pirates. From there, the men will take on Georgia Southern at 7 p.m. on Nov. 6, Eastern Kentucky on Nov. 10 at 7 p.m., UNC Asheville on Nov. 14 (time TBA as of writing), Nov. 17 against Norfolk State at 7 p.m. and then Samford on Nov. 24 at 7 p.m. The biggest game will be when Tech takes on UGA on Nov. 20 at 8 p.m.

Following their season opener, Talayah Walker and the women’s team will keep it going on Nov. 5 against Samford at 7 p.m. They’ll face Big XII opponent West Virginia on Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. and then follow that up with a game against Maryland Eastern Shore on Nov. 12 at 7 p.m. The women’s team will have two big home games to finish off their home slate in November, as the cross-town Georgia State Panthers will make the short trip to Midtown on Nov. 15 at 2 p.m. Finally, the Lady Bulldogs from Georgia will come in on Nov. 18. College basketball fans will have plenty of chances to catch the action on the hardwood.

Georgia State Basketball

While the Panthers may not be spending as much time at home as the Yellow Jackets will be, the GSU Convocation Center will still be filled with the crowd cheering and the sneakers squeaking on the hardwood as college basketball returns. While both the men and women will be taking part in their respective Sun Belt/MAC Challenges, the men’s team will get to host their game against MAC squad Bowling Green on Nov. 2 at 6 p.m. That’ll be the first of three home games for the Panthers in November, as head coach Jon Cremins will lead his team into games against Andrew College on Nov. 7 at 1 p.m. and then they’ll be back at it on Nov. 15 against Norfolk State at 1 p.m.

Meanwhile, head coach Marcilina Grayer will lead her women’s squad on their home opener on Nov. 8 at 2 p.m. against Wofford. After facing Toccoa Falls on Nov. 11 at 6 p.m., the Panthers will then host the GSU Thanksgiving Multi-Team Event during Thanksgiving Week. Chattanooga will take on St. Bonaventure on Nov. 23 at 12 p.m., while the Panthers will take on St. Bonaventure the next day at noon, and the event will culminate on that Wednesday with another noon game for Georgia State against Chattanooga. Daytime basketball fans will surely be satisfied with this slate of contests.

College Volleyball

Over on the other hardwood court, volleyball is in full swing and spiking all over the place as both Georgia Tech and Georgia State’s volleyball squads will be hosting games this month. Georgia State’s final two home games of the season will take place on Nov. 12 at 6 p.m. and Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. – both against Louisiana Tech. The final game will be Senior Day, as the seniors will be honored in their swan song at home.

In Midtown, the Yellow Jackets take to the court on Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. as NC State comes in for Y2K Night (With a Plush “Buzz” Clip Giveaway), which will take place as well. On Nov. 8, the Jackets host Wake Forest at 1 p.m. Senior Night will take place on Nov. 20 at 6 p.m. as the Clemson Tigers visit town and then the season finale will be on Nov. 28 at 3 p.m. as Stanford comes all the way from California to get a taste of what the Jackets have to offer on the court.

The Reckoning

It’s still the offseason for the Atlanta Vibe and LOVB Atlanta, but if supporting Georgia Tech isn’t enough and you’re still in need of watching some exciting volleyball action, then The Reckoning is the event for you. Running Nov. 21 – 23 and taking place at the Georgia World Congress Center, this is a three-day tournament that will decide the Junior Volleyball Association’s Boys’ National Championship. One-day passes cost $20, and entire event passes cost $45. Fans under 10 will receive free admission. Some of the best volleyball clubs that the JVA has to offer will be in town for this one, and hundreds of teams will be participating, so the volleyball action will be non-stop all weekend.
