Atlanta Meetings and Special Event Spaces That Rock

Begin and end your meeting on a high note by planning a spectacular event at one of Atlanta’s music venues. Each place has its own look and feel, creating plenty of unique choices when it comes to treating your attendees like the stars they are. Atlanta music venues run from small and intimate to larger halls with many interesting, mid-sized options in the city’s repertoire. Choose one of these stunning options and you’ll strike the right chord.

Fox Theatre

This 1928 movie palace is a showstopper, welcoming Broadway shows, live concerts and a classic feature film series. The opulent ancient Moorish and Egyptian design at the Fox Theatre will dazzle your attendees as they gather at the Marquee Club, which includes private rooftop space overlooking Peachtree Street in Midtown Atlanta. Or, stage your event directly on the stage with a backdrop of the Fox Theatre’s signature night sky of twinkling stars and drifting clouds. Invite a few ghosts to the party with a walking ghost tour of the historic theater, guaranteed to be a scream.

The Tabernacle

You might not guess that the Tabernacle was built as a Baptist church in 1911, but guests who come to see a show here sing praises about the three-level music hall, just two blocks from Georgia World Congress Center. With options for 25 to 2,500 guests, the Tabernacle provides a range of meeting options including two VIP rooms, plus The Room and the Artist Lounge, each holding 150. The Cotton Club accommodates 500. You may rent out the entire Tabernacle and bring the house down in one memorable night.

Terminal West

The past and present meet at Terminal West, bringing local and touring acts to the stage. The former 1930’s equipment factory in the Westside neighborhood offers exceptional lighting and sound with a hip, industrial look. Terminal West still possesses the original factory aesthetics and has an attached restaurant space and concert hall, great for up to 650 guests.

Pull out all the stops for your event at Buckhead Theatre, with room for 25 to 1,600 guests. This historic space is found in the upscale neighborhood of Buckhead. Formerly a classic movie house, the restored, Spanish Baroque theater was originally built in 1931 and still sports plenty of glamour in nooks ranging from the Lounge to the balcony lobby and especially in the main theater.

The Atlanta Dairies complex is a hub for makers, creators and artists and The Eastern, also located here, is no exception. The mid-sized music venue known for its incredible acoustics is found in the Reynoldstown neighborhood not too far from Downtown. It sports a multilevel space for up to 2,300 guests. Travel up to the rooftop to entertain in a covered performance space with a restaurant, bar and open-air seating.

Coca-Cola Roxy

With capacity at 2,650, the smooth and sleek music venue hosts national touring acts, local artists and perhaps even your group. The VIP Room, Music Hall and lobby are all part of the available space. Rent out the entire Roxy and give your attendees a private concert.

State Farm Arena

State Farm Arena has many smaller areas to host your event, including Atlanta Social. (📷: State Farm Arena)

In addition to hosting the NBA Atlanta Hawks, State Farm Arena welcomes international stars to its stage quite regularly. Three clubs are on the premises: The Delta Sky360 Club (with the first-ever bar on the court), Concert Club and the chef-driven Harrah’s Cherokee Casinos Club. A series of suites will allow your guests to experience the innovative arena in a smaller setting. Atlanta Social focuses on socializing, decked out with cabanas, plush couches and lounge suites. For something truly unique, the Topgolf Swing Suites provide golf simulators to get your guests moving before, after or during the event.

Atlanta’s only urban winery hosts a sensational lineup of live acts in a smaller-scale setting. Have your attendees indulge in wine made right on the premises in the Tasting Room at City Winery or try out one of the other eight event spaces on two floors to craft your individual experience. The Ponce City Market location also has a restaurant, music venue and patio available with the concert hall accommodating up to 400. On-site sommeliers, wine makers and executive chefs will be part of your team, helping to craft your personalized event.

Large-scale events and concerts are a specialty of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, but look deeper and you’ll find many smaller spaces. The clubs – AMG Lounge & Truist Club, Mercedes-Benz & 360 Clubs, Harrah’s Cherokee Casino Clubs – allow exclusive access to awe-inspiring on-field patio areas, lounge seating and great food. Molly B’s Cookhouse, the Southern-inspired chophouse inside the stadium, offers an intimate experience complete with a panoramic view of the field. Add in a group tour of the stadium and let your attendees feel like the players they are when they walk out on the field.

Center Stage Atlanta

A favorite local spot to hear bands since 1966, Center Stage Atlanta offers three separate areas to accommodate your crowd. The iconic destination, located in Midtown, houses the Center Stage Theater, long known for its superb acoustics. The Loft accommodates 650 as another live music and event space and, for something smaller, Vinyl can host 300, with a bar serving up concoctions of your choice.
