Visit Hammonds House Museum and immerse yourself in culture! Founded in 1988, Hammonds House Museum was established to fill a void where artists of color were under exposed and excluded from the mainstream art world. Today the museum continues this vigilance to ensure that many voices are heard and that artists of African descent are able to tell their stories as seen through their unique lens. Hammonds House Museum offers engaging exhibitions, artist talks, book signings, film screenings, classes, youth programming and other unique events to help visitors gain insight into the cultural and artistic significance of the works they experience at the Hammonds House Museum and more broadly, the rich culture of the African Diaspora. We look forward to seeing you at the Hammonds House Museum!
