Where to Go Ice Skating in Atlanta

Who says you can’t go ice skating in the South? Not Atlantans. No matter whether you skate like a member of Team USA or you are a teeny bit unstable standing on top of two steel blades, you can add to your holiday cheer by grabbing the kids or your besties and gliding around one of these Atlanta ice skating rinks. Check websites for safety protocols and rules.

Intown Ice Skating in Atlanta

Atlantic Station

Skate the Station returns to Atlantic Station. The rink opens Nov. 14 and remains open through Jan. 19, 2026. All youth younger than 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian after 3 p.m. No individuals younger than 21 are permitted on property after 9 p.m. All guests may be subject to presenting an ID to verify age. Tickets are $18; season passes, $90. Cheapskate Nights at Skate the Station welcome healthcare workers, teachers, first responders and students, who can enjoy discounted skating tickets for $15 every weekday. Cheapskate Night tickets must be purchased in person with a valid ID in order to receive the discounted price. Visit the Atlantic Station website for complete details.

Park Tavern

The ice skating rink at Park Tavern powered by Pepsi opens Dec. 1 and remains open through Feb. 16, 2026. Skating is for adults only (16 and older) after 8:30 p.m. All ages may skate Monday through Friday from 4:30 until 8 pm. The 85 X 40-foot rink is inside a heated garden tent. Weekday charges are $15 per person; weekend charges are $20 per person.

Ponce City Market

The Roof at Ponce City Market invites guests to “Skate the Sky.” Ten stories above Ponce de Leon Avenue, the Rooftop Terrace features a 3,500-square-foot ice skating rink, Skate the Sky, which will be open seven days per week Nov. 28 through Feb. 15, 2026. All-access tickets are $30 for adults and $22 for children and include ice skate rental, unlimited skating, mini golf and gameplay at Skyline Park. Skaters must be at least 5 years old, and children younger than 12 must be accompanied on the ice by an adult. Rink hours mirror hours of The Roof at Ponce City Market.

Ice Skating in Metro Atlanta

The Rockefeller Center-inspired ice skating rink, Avalon on Ice, opens Nov. 23 and runs through Jan. 19, 2026. Hours are Monday through Friday from 3 to 9 p.m.; Saturdays 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; and Sundays noon to 7 p.m. You should book ice skating reservations in advance to ensure a skating time slot. Walk-ups are welcome, but Avalon cannot guarantee you will be able to skate at that time. General admission is $18 per person including skates; children age 12 and younger, $14 including skates. High Street Skate on the Green

High Street in Atlanta’s Perimeter area plans holiday events including Dunwoody’s first-ever outdoor ice skating rink, High Street Skate on The Green. Tickets will be available online on the High Street website and in person and include skate rentals. Hours vary by day, and the rink operates weather permitting.  The rink opens Nov. 23 and remains open through Jan. 19, 2026.

Lanier Islands

Lanier Islands License to Chill: Snow Island activities include ice skating at Frosty’s Ice Rink. Admission for License to Chill: Snow Island are: $34.99 adults; $44.99 children ages 4 to 7; and $44.99 seniors.

Skate Sandy Springs

Come glide, shuffle or do the hustle on this outdoor rink on the City Green in Sandy Springs. Skate City Springs offers outdoor skating Nov. 14-Jan. 19, 2026, along with hot chocolate and snacks for sale. The adults fee is $18 per hour and the fee for children ages 2 to 9 is $15 per hour, which includes skate rental. Watch social media for news of special nights such as Disco Night and Free Cocoa Night.
